User Interface Design
Various Site Wireframes
User Interface Design is an often overlooked but extremely important part of website design. Wireframes and prototypes of a proposed site can be immensely helpful in defining it's functionality and content. It streamlines the production process so more time can spent on visual appeal without multiple revisions to Photoshop designs, saving clients time and money. Above a small selection of wireframes I have done for various projects.

Artsystems makes and inventory management software devoted exclusively to the needs of galleries, artists and collectors. Their software conatins a Webmanager module that publishes client data, artworks, artists, press, bios etc. directly to the internet allowing galleries to easily maintain websites without building them from scratch. The newest release of their software includes a complex Content Management System to publish websites. These wireframes illustrate the templates that will be used by hundred of gallery websites. So it was important to sketch out the modular nature of the design with detailed wireframes.

For large scale project like Artsystems, wireframing is essential. But even very small sites like Lisa French's four page brochure site can benefit from wireframes. This allows the content to be well fleshed out prior to the visual design process. In short: "Measure twice. Cut once."
