Jackie Fugere is an artist and photographer living and working in New York City. With a background in painting and printmaking, her photographs extend the boundaries of traditional photography. The large scale and alternative methods, such as chemical toning, non-silver methods and hand coloring with oil sticks reflect her experimental approach to photography.

Born in Connecticut, Fugere studied art at an early age. She received her BFA in photography from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She has exhibited her work throughout the United States in both group and solo exhibitions. Her work has won numerous awards including Wojnar-Drake Digital Imaging Award and the Roosevelt Paper Exhibition Award. A collaboration with Group Motion Dance Company resulted in an interactive stage set for Labyrinth, shown at the Painted Bride Art Center in Philadelphia and featured on WHBE (Philadelphia Public Television). She was recently selected for a fellowship at the Center For Emerging Visual Artists (formerly the Creative Artists Network), an emerging artists program based in Philadelphia.

Jackie Fugere continues to work and exhibit in New York City.
